[origin: EP1120496A2] The acoustic barrier wall, for highways, is composed of prefabricated barrier sections, assembled in a frame with release mountings. The frame is formed by a number of supports at intervals along it, as profiled components. Lateral struts (11,12) are between them near the ground and/or away from the ground, to hold the flat acoustic barrier sections (6) between them. The supports and/or the lateral struts (11,12) have a double T-shaped profile and/or a U-shaped profile, to hold the acoustic barrier sections (6) with their outer edges. The acoustic barrier sections (6) are of recycling materials, and especially old vehicle tire granules.
