[origin: DE19847076A1] 2-Heteroaryl-5-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyrrole derivatives (I) are new. Pyrroline derivatives of formula (I) are new: Het = optionally substituted (os), unsaturated 5-10 membered mono- or bicyclic heterocycle (e.g. 5- or 6-membered monocyclic heterocycle containing one or more of N, O and S); m = 0-4; R1 = halo, -X-A, -B-Z-D or -Y-E; R2 = H, halo, CN, NO2, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, alkoxyalkoxy or S(O)oR3; o = 0-2; R3 = alkyl or haloalkyl; X = direct bond, O, S, CO, COO, OCO, alkylene, alkenylene, alkynylene, oxyalkylene, thioalkylene, alkylenedioxy or dialkylsilylene; A = phenyl, naphthyl, tetrahydronaphthyl or 5-10 membered heterocycle containing 1 or 2 aromatic rings and one or more of O, S and N (all os); B = os p-phenylene; Z = O or S; D = H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl or haloalkenyl; or cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, cycloalkenyl, cycloalkenylalkyl, phenylalkyl, naphthylalkyl, tetrahydronaphthyl-alkyl or heteroarylalkyl (all os); or -COR4, -CONR5R6 or -(CH2)p-CR7R8)q-(CH2)r-G; or -Z-D = os phenoxyalkyl; Y = direct bond, O, S, CO, COO, OCO, alkylene, alkenylene, alkynylene, alkyleneoxy, oxyalkylene, thioalkylene, alkylenedioxy or as for B; E = H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl or haloalkenyl; cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, phenyl or heteroarylalkyl (all os); or -(CH2)p-CR7R8)q-(CH2)r-G; R4 = alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl or alkenyloxy; or cycloalkyl, cycloalkoxy, cycloalkylalkoxy, phenyl or naphthyl (all os); R5, R7, R8 = H or alkyl; R6 = alkyl or haloalkyl; or cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, phenyl or phenylalkyl (all os); p, q, r = 0-3, provided that their sum is less than 6; G = CN; os 5- or 6-membered heterocycle; or a wide range of other substituents.
