[origin: EP1121989A2] The arrangement has at least one fan connected to a hood (2) for delivering air into the building and a suction device connected to the hood within which a twisting flow is generated between separate suction regions during extraction. The device coupled via a controller to a smoke and/or fire alarm device so that delivery of air into the building is interrupted if the alarm device is activated and air is sucked out of the room via the hood. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for extracting used fouled air out of buildings and a building with several floors, an atrium and an arrangement for feeding in air and/or and arrangement for extracting used air.
