Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1121990A2] The arrangement has a roller system (1) with a roller set and a roller gap setting system. The strip (4) passes from a spool (10) into the gap with an initial thickness and leaves the gap with a desired thickness and onto another spool (11). The strip passes in loops round compensation rollers (12,13) between the spools and the roller system that are regulated to achieve a desired strip tension.
