[origin: EP1122063A2] A transfer cylinder for a printing press has a rotating structure (1) with pivot supports (4) at each end and with grips (10) on the diametric opposite sides to grip the leading edges of the printed material and guide it to the next process. The structure has a cellular construction with cavities (7) and air flow apertures (8) to generate an airflow through the centrifugal force. This moves the printed material inside the outer guides and provides a quiet transfer.
