Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1122701A2] The method involves vehicles moving with the traffic generating and storing traffic data, transmitting the data to a central computer at defined intervals, evaluating the data from multiple vehicles and assessing the traffic situation. At least some of the traffic is regulated using an automatic distance regulator and at least some of the parameters determined during automatic distance regulation are transmitted to the central computer. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for detecting traffic situation data.
