Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0023637A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for electrodialytic regeneration of an electroless, metal deposition bath containing hypophosphite ions, preferably a nickel deposition bath. In known methods and devices, the bath liquid is guided through an electrodialysis device (Ei) having dilute compartments (Di1) in a cathode (Ka) and anodes (An) that are separated from the concentrate compartments (Ko1a, Ko1b) in the electrodialysis device on the cathode side by monoselective cation exchange membranes (KS) and by anion exchange membranes (A) on the anode side, wherein the dilute compartments (Di1a) and the concentrate compartments (Ko1a, Ko1b) are alternately disposed in relation to each other. The inventive method and device differ from known methods in that the bath liquid is guided simultaneously through a second electrodialysis device (E2) having dilute compartments (Di2a, Di2b) in a cathode (Ka) and anodes (An) that are separated from the concentrate compartments (Ko2a) in the second electrodialysis device (E2) on the cathode side by monoselective anion exchange membranes (AS) and by anion exchange membranes (A) on the anode side, wherein the dilute compartments (Di2a, Di2b) and the concentrate compartments (Ko2a) in the second electrodialysis device (E2) are disposed alternately in relation to each other.
