Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1123867A1] The machine for forming tubes (1) or cans arriving continuously from a production line (3) into groups (15) of a specified size comprises a grouping support (8) with recesses for the tubes. A packing unit (20) then packs the groups into cartons (S). The packing unit is inclined at 5 - 30 degrees to the vertical and a swivelling transfer plate (11) feeds the tubes from the grouping support into the cartons.
