The fuel supply system has a fuel pump (2) for feeding the fuel from a fuel tank (1) to the IC engine, with a pressure regulator (12), e.g. an electronic pressure regulating valve, inserted in the fuel line (3) for obtaining the required fuel pressure. The feedback line (11) between the pressure regulator and the fuel tank contains a throttle (16), with the fuel pressure upstream of the throttle providing the input control pressure for the pressure regulator.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kraftstoffversorgungsanlage für eine Brennkraftmaschine mit einer den Kraftstoff aus einem Tank über eine Förderleitung zur Brennkraftmaschine fördernden Kraftstoffpumpe sowie mit einem Druckregler, der den für die Brennkraftmaschine relevanten Kraftstoffdruck wahlweise auf unterschiedliche Druckniveaus einstellt. Um Heißstartprobleme oder generell Betriebsprobleme durch Dampfblasenbildung einfach und sicher zu vermeiden, kann der Druckregler als elektronisches Druckregelventil mit integriertem Drucksensor ausgebildet sein. Alternativ ist der Druckregler in der Förderleitung angeordnet und es ist in einer vom Druckregler zum Tank führenden Rückführleitung eine Drossel vorgesehen, wobei der in der Rückführleitung stromauf der Drossel herrschende Kraftstoffdruck anstelle des bislang üblichen Atmosphärendrucks als Eingangs-Steuerdruck für den Druckregler herangezogen wird. <IMAGE>
