The flexible lance has a pair of flexible metallic bands (3,5), sandwiched together for providing a guide sleeve (16) extending in the longitudinal direction, for locating at least one supply line (17,18) leading to a treatment or inspection head at the free end of the band. The 2 metallic bands may be joined together via a thread which is passed through aligned openings in both bands to sew them together.

Eine flexible Lanze (1) zum Bearbeiten oder Inspizieren eines Rohrbodens (61) eines Dampferzeugers (63) weist ein flexibles metallisches erstes Band (3) auf. An dem ersten Band (3) ist eine sich in seiner Längsrichtung (31) erstreckende erste Ausformung (13) zur Aufnahme einer Versorgungsleitung (17, 19) für einen am freien Ende angeordneten Bearbeitungs- oder Inspektionskopf (71) vorhanden. Ein flexibles metallisches zweites Band (5) ist mit dem ersten Band (3) derart verbunden, dass die offene Seite der ersten Ausformung (13) von dem zweiten Band (5) einen Führungskanal (16) bildend überdeckt ist. Die beiden Bänder (3, 5) sind vorzugsweise durch Sehnen (27, 29) miteinander verbunden, die insbesondere eine höhere Biegesteifigkeit als eines der Bänder (3, 5) aufweisen. <IMAGE>
