[origin: WO0024280A1] The invention relates to footwear comprising an insole (11; 57) having an insole bottom (23), a shank (15) constructed with an upper material (17), and an end area situated on the side of the sole. The footwear also comprises a water-tight functional layer (21) which at least partially lines the upper material (17) of the shank (15) on the inner side thereof and which has an end area situated on the side of the sole. The shank (15) has a lasting fold (35) which is glued to the insole bottom (23) by means of a lasting adhesive (25) and has a lasting fold bottom (43) pointing away from the insole bottom (23). In addition, an outsole (51, 59) is provided which is glued to the lasting fold bottom (43) by means of an outsole adhesive (45). A water-tight reactive hot-melt adhesive is applied as a lasting adhesive (25).
