Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Entfernung von Partikeln von ein- oder mehrlagigen Materialbahnen (5). Es sind Längsschneideinrichtungen (1,3) entlang des Bahnlaufpfades in einer Längsschneidzone (27) beispielsweise einem Wendestangenüberbau einer bahnverarbeitenden Rotationsdruckmaschine vorgesehen. Eine den Schneideinrichtungen (1, 3) zugeordnete Absaugzone (26) wird der Lage des Schneidpunktes (6) entsprechend quer zur Bahnlaufrichtung (6) erzeugt. <IMAGE>
