Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1126160A2] The fuel injection valve has a servo valve (12) for controlling the fuel injection and a control space (4) coupled to a fuel feed via a feed throttle (2) and to a fuel feedback line (13) via a fuel return throttle (11). The pressure in the control space acts on a jet needle (6) cooperating with a fuel injection opening (8). The servo valve is operated by an actuator (15) for controlling the connection between the return throttle and the fuel feedback line, the jet needle operating rate determined by the ratio of the entry and exit diameters of one or both throttles.
