Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1126180A2] The pump impeller comprises impeller blades(3) extending radially from the hub towards the periphery, and installed on a front shroud on the inlet side and/or rear shroud on the pump casing side. The impeller is constructed semi-shrouded, and manufactured as an injection moulded part with a cast-in ceramic support bearing ring(2). The shrouds overlap the impeller blades on the front and rear sides only partially, with the front shroud(5) being in ring form, and the rear shroud(6) as a closed disc with an external diameter the same or smaller than the internal diameter of the front shroud.
