[origin: WO0027598A1] The inventive clipping machine contains a device for adjusting the cutting length (14), which acts on a clipping assembly (12). Said clipping assembly (12) comprises at least a zigzag comb (16) and a clipping blade (18) which can be driven essentially parallel to the front edge of said zigzag comb (16) whilst oscillating in a crosswise direction. The cutting length adjusting device (14) contains at least one coupling element (22, 24, 46) which enables a relative lengthways displacement between the zigzag comb (16) and the clipping blade (18). The clipping assembly (12) is detachably fixed with a detent device (22).
