[origin: WO0028010A2] The invention relates to a method for producing cells which are suitable for treating the human body. According to said method, (a) cells are taken from the human body; (b) the cells obtained in step (a) are transfected in vitro with at least one gene coding for a growth and/or differentiation factor, which gene is under the control of a promoter; so that the cells from step (b) are capable of differentiation in a desired manner once they are re-introduced into the human body. The invention also relates to cells which are obtained by said method and to their use for producing a medicament for treating diseases.
