Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0028362A1] The invention relates to a module that contains a printed board (10) and an optic component (54, 56, 58), whereby the printed board (10) is provided with at least one electro-optic component (16), at least one strip conductor (24) for connecting the electro-optic component (16), and a three-dimensional, microstructured means of adjustment (12), in relation to which the electro-optic component (16) is arranged in a precise manner. A three-dimensional means of positioning (52) is provided on the optic component (54, 56, 58) and cooperates with the means of adjustment (12) on the printed board (10) in such a way that the optic component (54, 56, 58) is coupled to the electro-optic component (16) of the printed board (10) in a precise manner. The electro-optic component (16) is received in a recess (14) of the printed board. According to one embodiment, the optic component is an optical fibre (58).
