[origin: EP1128141A1] A dewatering valve for a cool box or refrigerator has a tube (3) to be built in at a slant whose through-flow can be blocked by a flap-shaped valve element forming a non-return valve that opens under the hydraulic pressure of a water column standing in the tube. The outlet end (11) of the tube is enclosed by a pot-shaped container (12) by forming an annular space (20). The outer sleeve of the tube carries an annular valve disc (14) whose outer edge region lies on the upper edge (13) of the container forming a valve seat. The valve disc consists of an elastomeric, plastics or elasto-plastic material.
