[origin: EP1128333A2] A single journey is defined by fixing start and finish. A vehicle's single journeys are assigned to a journey type. Vehicle data is recorded in the vehicle by a data-recording device to include position and length of the stretch on the journey covered, to detect vehicle data according to journey type and to pass this on to a service control centre for processing on an independent terminal and producing an electronic certificate as proof justifying a single journey.
