Abstract (en)
[origin: US6509527B2] The high or very high voltage DC cable has extruded polymeric insulation made out of a styrene-containing material. The material of the insulation is constituted by a mixture comprising polyethylene, a hydrogenated block copolymer of styrene, and an anti-oxiding agent, with the styrene content by mass being 11% to 18%, and the material is not cross-linked. The cable is suitable for use as a DC power cable.

Le câble haute ou très haute tension à courant continu comporte une isolation polymérique extrudée réalisée en un matériau styrénique. Il est caractérisé en ce que ledit matériau de ladite isolation est constitué d'un mélange comprenant du polyéthylène, un copolymère séquencé hydrogéné de styrène et un anti-oxydant, a un taux massique de styrène de 11 à 18% et est non réticulé. Application : Câbles d'énergie à courant continu.
