Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19944003C1] The invention relates to a separating device (13). A separating net or a separating grit (14) consists of a flexible material and pertains to said separating device. A stiffening stanchion (19, 21) is provided at two edges (16, 17) of the separating net (14) respectively, whereby said edges extend in parallel. One of the two stiffening stanchions (19) serves for anchoring the separating device (13) below the vehicle roof. The remaining stiffening stanchion (21) is anchored at the backrest or the bottom of the load compartment for instance and at a distance to the rooflining. The two stiffening stanchions (19, 21) each contain a hinge (30). The separating device (13) can thus be folded up along the width thereof and can subsequently be rolled up. A packing device (96, 97) in the form of a pocket that is provided at the separating device (13) serves for securing the folded separating device (13) in the packed position.
