Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0028423A1] A distance threshold and a distance metric for representing a distance between items of information are defined (402) in a messaging system. A messaging unit (122) selects (404, 504) a current item of information sent through a controller (112) of the messaging system. One of the messaging unit and the controller determines (410, 510) the distance between the current item and an additional item compatible with the messaging unit. The messaging unit stores (416, 516) the additional item in its memory, when the distance between the current item and the additional item is less than the distance threshold.
