Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1130021A2] The present invention relates to a novel pyrrolopyridinium derivative of the general formulae (I), (II), and (III) <CHEM> wherein R' and R'' independently represent a linear or branched alkyl group which may be substituted with an optionally protected amino group or a carboxyl group; including all stereoisomers and enantiomers, and salts thereof. Further, the invention concerns an antibody against this derivative as a hapten; a method for measuring this derivative using the antibody; and a test kit for the assay of said derivative compound comprising the antibody. <??>This derivative, antibody, method and test kit is useful for the in-vitro diagnosis of various diseases as well as for the evaluation of the effectiveness of pharmaceuticals against these diseases, e.g. diabetes, diabetic complications, renal failure, dialysis-related complications, aging, diseases accompanied by aging, Alzheimerdisease, etc. ; andamethod for diagnosis of diabetes, diabetic complications, renal failure, dialysis-related complications, aging, diseases accompanied by aging, Alzheimer disease, etc.
