An austenitic stainless steel, with high machinability and an improved corrosion resistance, incorporates in its composition some inclusions of calcium silico-aluminate of anorthite and/or pseudo-wollastonite and/or gehlenite type associated with some inclusions of CrMnS of which the chromium content is 30-70%.
