The device has a housing (10) anchored in the ground, with an electric turning drive motor (14) to pivot a barrier (12) between vertical and blocking positions. The barrier is connected to a screw drive of spindle (18) and nut (20), and to drive rods (22,24). The axis of the joint (66) between the drive rods and the barrier extends through the vertical plane of the pivot axis of the barrier. The barrier is held in upright position without play or limited play, by stop surfaces (50,32) acting with it and/or parts of its drive train (18-24), and/or is pivoted by play in the drive train into a position 3-5 degrees off its horizontal position, after ending the lowering movement.

Die Absperrvorrichtung hat ein Gehäuse (10) und einen Elektromotor (14), der über ein Schraubgetriebe (18, 20) und ein Schubgestänge (22, 24) ein Absperrelement (12) zwischen einer liegenden und einer aufgerichteten Endstellung verschwenkt. Um mit einem verhältnismäßig kleinen Elektromotor auszukommen, ist vorgesehen, daß die Achse des Gelenks (66) zwischen Schubgestänge (22, 24) und Absperrelement (12) im mittleren Bereich der Schwenkbewegung die senkrechte Ebene durch die Schwenkachse (54) des Absperrelements (12) durchquert. Dieses ist durch Anschlagflächen (50, 32) spielfrei oder mit begrenztem Spiel in aufrechter Stellung gehalten. Durch Spiel (70) im Antriebsstrang (18-24) ist es nach dem Anhalten der Absenkbewegung in einer der liegenden angenäherten Stellung um mindestens 3° - 5° zur flachliegenden Stellung hin verschwenkbar. <IMAGE>
