Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1130315A2] The atmospheric gas burner has several parallel arranged burner components (10) with at least two mixture tubes and a burner plate with mixture outlet apertures. The mixture tubes are fed with a combustion gas - air mixture via gas nozzles and air inlet apertures. The surface of the mixture outlet apertures and the flow ratio of the combustion gas - air mixture in the mixture tubes (20) are so matched to each other that the heat load on the mixture outlet apertures of the burner plate (16) is less than or equal to 300 W/cm<2>. The surface of the mixture outlet apertures corresponds to 3-5 times the cross-section of the two mixture tubes at the narrowest point. The mixture tubes in relation the wide side of the burner component have a widening diffuser section (25), which in relation to the narrow side of the burner component has a narrowing section (36) of the cross-section (20).
