[origin: DE19853110A1] The present invention relates to a gel-type cleaning agent for W.C. pans, wherein said agent contains a non-ionogenic surfactant that consists of an alkoxylated carboxylic acid ester mainly of the type of those produced by the alkoxylation of carboxylic acid esters in the presence of calcinated hydrotalcits as catalysts. This invention further relates to the use of such alkoxylated carboxylic acid esters in the production of gel-type cleaning agents for W.C. pans.
