[origin: DE19939808A1] The generator has a split-pole rotor (20) provided as 2 pole wheel halves (22) secured to a rotor shaft (32) and a pole carrier (26) attached to the pole wheel halves, with first split poles (28) provided by the pole wheel halves alternating with second split poles (29) provided by the pole carrier around the periphery of the rotor. The fixing medium (34) for bonding the pole carrier to the pole wheel halves projects into the gaps.between the alternating split poles, for bonding the latter together.
