Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1132927A2] The use of an adhesive tape (I) is claimed as a wrapping tape for cables having polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-free cladding, where: (a) (I) consists of a PVC-free carrier coated on at least one side with an acrylate-based pressure sensitive adhesive (II); and (b) adhesion of (I) to the cable at 100 degrees C or more for at least 240 hours causes no damage to the cladding.
