Closing cylinder forces Fsz are applied in opposition to the impact force Fst and the clamping force Fnh and a water reservoir (5) is configured in the tool (3) which allows corresponding forces p*A to be exerted on the workpiece (2). The method is characterised in that the interfering force which results from the application of the impact force Fst is determined and compensated by a modification of the closing cylinder forces Fsz.
