Abstract (en)
A heated melt adhesive (K) is applied locally to a fabric (W), e.g. in spots (O) or lines, using an engraved roller (5) or screen printing. Prior to application, the fabric is moistened with a liquid, e.g. with water by a spray (22) or by an immersion roller. The amount of liquid is adjusted so that it evaporates completely during contact with the adhesive applicator. An Independent claim is also included for the apparatus comprising a moistening arrangement prior to the adhesive applicator.

In einem Verfahren und einer Vorrichtung zum Auftragen einer partiellen Oberfächenbeschichtung auf eine Warenbahn (W) wird eine fliessfähige, erwärmte Kunststoffmasse (K) auf eine Oberfläche (2) der Warenbahn (W) partiell aufgetragen. Um die Abkühlung der frisch aufgetragenen Oberflächenbeschichtung (O) zu beschleunigen, wird erfindungsgemäss die Warenbahn (W) vor dem Auftrag der Oberflächenbeschichtung mit einer Befeuchtungseinrichtung (10, 11, 12; 22) befeuchtet. <IMAGE>
