The lock (12) has a handle (32) and bolt (26) and comprises two inter-connectable housing parts (22, 24). Each housing part has a through bore (60) for the operating device set perpendicular to the assembly side (42) for fixing on a component. The housing part also has at least one opening (52, 54) for the counter member (33) of the bolt. Each housing part can have a socket (62) for the bolt so that when the housing parts are fitted together the two sockets form a bearing (64) for the bolt.

Es wird ein Schloss (12), insbesondere für Konstruktionen aus Profilstäben (14, 16), vorgeschlagen. Das Schloss (12) weist einen Griff (32), der mit einem im Schloss (12) angeordneten Riegel (26) zusammenwirkt, auf. Das Schloss (12) besteht im wesentlichen aus zwei miteinander verbindbaren Gehäuseteilen (22, 24). Jedes Gehäuseteil (22, 24) weist eine Durchgangsbohrung (60) für die Betätigungseinrichtung, mindestens eine Öffnung (52, 54) für den Eintritt des Gegenstückes (33) und eine Montageseite (42) zur Befestigung an einem Bauteil auf. Die Montageseite (42) und die Durchgangsbohrung (60) sind im wesentlichen senkrecht zueinander angeordnet. Dadurch ist das Schloss (12) auf zwei Bauteilen und nicht zwischen den Bauteilen anzuordnen. Mit diesem Schloss (12) ist der Einsatz in den verschiedensten Positionen an Schwenk- und Schiebetüren möglich. <IMAGE>
