[origin: EP1134346A2] Hinge, preferably a furniture hinge, comprises a U-shaped hinge arm held in long holes or slits (10) in a base plate (1) by two collar screws having an annular groove at the end. The base plate has a raised part (2) extending essentially over its length and provided at its ends with free slits whose edges are separated by a distance corresponding to the diameter of the screw body in the annular grooves of the collar screws. The slits open into holes (11) whose diameter corresponds to the diameter of the terminal flanges of the collar screws having the grooves. The arms of the hinge arm are supported on the base plate in the region of the fixing screw by supporting edges at the side of the raised part (9).
