[origin: EP1134422A2] From the position of the fuel gas control valve (6) actuator determining flow to the process, also taking into account as appropriate, the following influences:- compressor suction, compressor outlet pressure, compressor suction temperature and process pressure, a control matrix is determined and stored in the machine controller. On rapid transient change in the operating condition, the required settings are determined directly for the following:- pumping limitation valve (13), bypass valve (8), suction pressure control valve (10) and the adjustment actuator (22) for the compressor inlet blades (21). Signals corresponding to the required settings, are sent to the:- pumping limitation valve (13), suction pressure controller (11), final pressure controller (20) and bypass controller (9).
