[origin: EP1134505A1] A terminal board 22, an AC circuit section 23, a DC high-voltage circuit section 24, a DC low-voltage circuit section 25 and a CPU control section 26 are laid out in series along the lengthwise direction of an indoor-unit casing 1, by which an electrical-equipment unit 14 is long, narrow shaped. As a result of this, air-conditioning efficiency can be improved by increasing the size of an indoor heat exchanger without enlarging the body casing, or an air conditioner that allows the body casing to be formed compact without reducing the size of the indoor heat exchanger is provided. <IMAGE>
