Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1134961A2] The transformer has a primary permanently connected to an a.c. source and a secondary for connection to a load. The primary is in series with a resistor with a parallel bridge with a switching element and the secondary is in series with a current sensing circuit forming a switch drive. The switch element is opened in idle mode when the secondary circuit is open and closed in loaded mode so the a.c. source voltage is the input voltage. The transformer has a primary coil (Le) permanently connected to an a.c. source (N) and a secondary coil (La) for connection to a load. The transformer primary is connected in series with a resistor (Rv) with a parallel bridge (12) with a switching element (S) and the secondary coil is connected in series with a current sensing circuit (I) forming a drive for the switch. The switch element is opened in idle mode when the secondary circuit is open and is closed in loaded mode so that the a.c. source voltage is applied as the input voltage.
