[origin: WO0034270A1] The invention relates to thiochromanoylpyrazolone derivatives of formula (I), wherein the variables have the following meanings: A is an optionally substituted, saturated or unsaturated alkyl chain; R<1> is cyano, rhodano, nitro, OR<4>, SR<5>, SOR<6>, SO2R<6>, ONR<6>NR<7>, ON=CR<6>R<8>, NR<9>R<10>, P(O)R<11>R<12>, P(S)R<11>R<12>, COR<6>, CO2R<6>, optionally substituted phenyl or heterocyclyl; R<2> is alkyl, alkyl halide, alkoxy or halogenalkoxy; R<3> is hydrogen, alkyl or halogen; X is oxygen, sulphur, S=O, S(=O)2, CR<13>R<14>, C=O or C=NR<15>, m is 0, 1 or 2; n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; and R<16> is substituted pyrazol-4-yl-carbonyl or substituted (4,5-dihydro-5-oxo-pyrazol-4-yl)-methylidene; and to their agriculturally useable salts. The invention also relates to a method for producing thiochromanoylpyrazolone derivatives, to products containing them and to the use of these derivatives and products containing them for combating undesirable plants.
