[origin: WO0123744A1] The invention relates to a valve for controlling liquids said valve having a piezoelectric actuator (3) for operating a valve member (2) which at one end has a valve closing member forming a valve head (7) cooperating with a seat (8) mounted on a valve body (6) for opening and closing the valve (1). A hydraulic chamber (21) is provided on the side of the piezoelectric actuator (3) opposite the valve member (2) which is connected via at least one hydraulic line (23) to a bore (5) of said valve member (2) that is sealed in comparison with said piezoelectric actuator (3) and can be dipped into a cylinder (20) connected to said piezoelectric actuator (3). The hydraulic chamber (21) is formed as a hydraulic spring. The spring force acting on the cylinder (20) connected to the piezoelectric actuator (3) creates a prestress element and a tolerance compensation element. Said valve is in particular provided as a component of a fuel injection valve.
