[origin: DE19948341A1] The invention relates to a fuel high pressure accumulator for a common rail fuel injection system pertaining to an internal combustion engine comprising a pipe-shaped basic body (1) provided with connection openings (34, 35, 38). At least two connection openings are located diametrically opposite each other in the pipe-shaped basic body (1) in order to provide a fuel high pressure accumulator which can withstand higher pressures than conventional fuel high pressure accumulators.
