The head band has at least one layer (4,5) of a force distribution material and especially a plastics foam. The layer(s) is (are) cut (8) across the longitudinal line of the band. The textile cladding has a stretch elasticity. The outer layer (4) is of polyethylene foam and the bonded inner layer (5) is a polyurethane foam. A polystyrene film covers the polyethylene foam layer (4).

Ein Kopfband für Sportler, besteht aus mindestens einer Schicht (4, 5) aus kraftverteilendem Material, insbesondere Kunststoffschaum, welche Schicht oder Schichten (4, 5) ist bzw. sind mit in Abständen angebrachten Einschnitten (8) versehen, deren Längserstreckung im wesentlichen quer zur Längserstreckung des Kopfbandes (1) verläuft, die textile Umhüllung (6) elastisch ist. Dadurch wird eine einfache Anpassung an verschiedene Kopfgrößen erreicht. <IMAGE>
