Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1136047A1] The convex joint-head (1) and the concave joint-shell are each separately fixed to a shaft (3,4) in one bone-end (5,6). A guide pin (12) protrudes from the joint towards the shaft's axis (9) and fits into a pocket (13) of the joint-head. The pocket has a first stop (16) for the guide pin in the hyper-extended position (10). Between the shell and head is a second stop (17) in the hyper-extended position and which prevents the guide-pin and shell's shaft from tilting round the first stop.
