Abstract (en)
The separator has a tubular discharge channel (2) adjoining the vortex chamber (1) and at least the areas of the cyclone producing the inside faces of the vortex chamber and those of the discharge channel are formed from a sintered hard material produced through powdered metallurgy. Suitable hard materials are titanium carbide, titanium nitride, zirconium carbide. The inside faces of the vortex chamber and discharge channel are hardened by hard material phase diffusion or are coated by separating off the hard material phases.

Bei einem als Zyklon ausgebildeten Fliehkraftabscheider zum Abscheiden von festen Stoffen oder von Flüssigkeiten aus Gasen oder aus Flüssigkeiten, an dessen Wirbelkammer (1, 11) sich ein rohrförmiger Abströmkanal (2, 12) anschließt, sind zumindest die die Innenflächen der Wirbelkammer (1, 11) und die die Innenflächen des rohrförmigen Abströmkanals (2, 12) aufweisenden Bereiche des Zyklons aus einem pulvermetallurgisch hergestellten, gesinterten Hartstoff gebildet. Es können aber auch zumindest die die Innenflächen der Wirbelkammer (1, 11) und die die Innenflächen des rohrförmigen Abströmkanals (2, 12) aufweisenden Bereiche des Zyklons aus einem nichtmetallischen Hartstoff gebildet sein. <IMAGE>
