Cutting is aided by two or more clamps (3) on one side of the profile and a raised area (4) on the other side which enable the profile (2) to be bent along the main axis (L) and induce a tensile stress on the knife facing side of the profile. The raised area is interrupted near the knife (5) which is powered by a servomotor (10). Initial contact between the knife (5) and profile (2) is on an edge of the latter. The knife is perpendicular to the long axis (L) of the profile and has a cutting edge angle (Beta) of 5-35 degrees , preferably 25 degrees . In cross-section the cutting edge (7) has two or more stages (8,9), the initial cutting edge having a greater angle to the movement direction (R) than the second cutting edge.
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Durchtrennen von endlosen Profilen mit einer Längsachse, insbesondere von extrudierten Kunststoffprofilen, mit einem Messer, das in Richtung der Bewegung des Messers auf das Profil zu und im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Längsachse bewegbar ist. Erfindungsgemäß sind Mittel (3, 4) zum Biegen des Profils (2) entlang seiner Längsachse (L) im Schnittbereich des Profils (2) vorgesehen, wobei die Mittel (3, 4) durch die Biegung in dem dem Messer (5) zugewandten Bereich des Profils (2) eine Zugspannung erzeugen. Die Erfindung geht dabei von der Erkenntnis aus, daß bei vorbekannten Trennvorrichtungen durch das in das Profil eindringende Messer dieses bei eben aufliegendem Profil eingeklemmt wird, da nicht wie bei einer Säge ein Freiraum für das Messer ausgeschnitten wird. Die Erfindung wirkt der entstehenden Klemmkraft entgegen. <IMAGE>
