[origin: EP1136254A2] Graft copolymers (I) produced by radical polymerization of vinyl esters in the presence of polyalkylene oxides followed by at least partial hydrolysis of the ester functions are used to produce laser-engravable relief printing plates. An Independent claim is also included for a process for producing flexographic printing plates, comprising laser engraving of a relief in a laser-engravable element comprising a crosslinked relief layer comprising (I) and optionally an infrared absorber on a dimensionally stable transparent or metal support.
