The web-fed printing machine has at least one printer (1,2) printing a web (10) which, with other web-lines (12,13) are guided over turning-bars (6,7) and then placed on each other on a former (8). The web of material and the lines pass over six pulley units positioned, respectively, in front of the printer, in front of the turning-bars, a third for each line, in front of the former and after the former, and in the cooler (4).

Um beim Anfahren einer Rollenrotationsdruckmaschine im Falzaufbau (5) schnell optimale Bahnzugverhältnisse zu erlangen, wird zunächst eine Bahn (10) bei abgestelltem Druck der Druckwerke (1, 2) transportiert, wobei die auf dem Bahnweg liegenden Zugeinheiten (Z2 bis Z6) mit ersten Voreilungswerten (V1) für optimale Bahnzugkräfte betrieben werden und nach dem Anstellen des Druckes die Zugeinheiten (Z2 bis Z6) mit zweiten Voreilungswerten (V2) für optimale Bahnzugkräfte betrieben werden. <IMAGE>
