Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1136411A2] The appliance has cutter/clamp devices (101,102) to make first and second cuts for a continuous cut in a material length (1), forming a signature with smooth edges. A second of the cutter/clamp devices has a second cutter cylinder (10) with second cutter elements (19), acting with a second anvil cylinder (20). The cylinder has a peripheral coating of elastic material, which clamps and guides the material length in a gap between second anvil cylinder and second cutter cylinder, while second cuts are made.
