[origin: WO0021678A1] The invention concerns a device (100) for centrifuging various chemical or biological samples, designed to be set on a horizontal working plane for co-operating with a laboratory analyzer automatically performing chemical or biological reactions according to a specific protocol, said device comprising in a casing (101): a vessel (102) containing a vertical shaft (103) driven by rotary driving means; a horizontal plate (104) mounted interlocked in rotation, on the central shaft (103), and provided with through orifices (105) for mounting tubes (106) vertically, said orifices having a substantially elongated shape with front and rear walls (105b, 105a) inclined at angle less than 90 degrees relative to the horizontal; and means for indexing the plate position, each time it stops, for positioning said orifices at predetermined sites.
