[origin: DE10011432A1] The web of paper or carton is fed through a longitudinal cutter where it is sub-divided into two individual webs. The web passes over two supporting rollers (6,7). Before reaching the first roller (6) the web passes through a tension interruptor unit which has a powered roller (8). The output supporting roller (7) turns under power. The input roller (6) moves freely and is not powered.
