Abstract (en)
Tanned leather with a protective finish that covers the protein fiber surface and underlying collagen fiber network while leaving the pores open. An Independent claim is also included for a finishing process for tanned leather, comprising subjecting the leather to a plasma treatment in which an atomized matrix material carried by the plasma jet is projected onto and into the leather at high energy in a reactor at atmospheric pressure.
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein modifiziertes Leder und die Art der Zurichtung. Gemäß der Erfindung ist dabei die Oberfläche des Leders sowie dessen Kollagengerüst mit einer funktionellen Schutzschicht überzogen, ohne daß eine Verklebung der Fasern die Atmungsaktivität behindert. Die Zurichtung erfolgt dabei plasmatechnisch bei Atmosphärendruck.
