Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1138881A2] The turbine housing has a hot gas chamber (5) between compressor stage (7) and turbine stage (6), and outer shell (1) and an internal part (2). This separates the hot gas chamber from the outer shell via an intermediate chamber (3). The internal part is connected to the outer shell via two axial joints (4) so that the intermediate chamber is sealed against the hot gas chamber. Outer shell and internal part consists of different materials, so that sufficient surface contact pressure is generated at the joints during operation of the gas turbine.
